What is the Woods and what are we about ?

Before The Woods and Restaurant At The Woods, Luke and Curtis both worked in education. We both had a passion for, and made a career of helping others to reach their full potential and find their individual calling in life. Whilst we found our occupations very rewarding, in 2020 we found ourselves in the situation of many key workers. With a love for a career that was confined by rules and regulations due to the circumstances the pandemic caused. 

It was at that time we decided to try something new and create a place that we could share our other passions with the world - caring for nature, inspiring young people and eating  great food (we think thats a passion for everyone !). That is when the idea for The Woods coffee shop and cafe was born.

In 2021 we viewed a once tobacconist on Solihull High Street. Clad with mahogany cabinets and a dropped celling. What others may have seen as a huge task we saw an opportunity - The foundations of The Woods.  

We have now created a place that we could only dream of. Filled with the beauty of nature (all be it artificial). We have dedicated our business to become a place that people can eat that doesn't cost the earth, both in terms of pounds and pollution. We are by no means perfect or 100% eco friendly, but that is our core value and something that we are always trying to improve upon and hope to become.
